Inter have increased their offer to Chelsea for the return of Romelu Lukaku on loan to €7 million plus bonuses, according to various reports in Italy.
The Belgium forward has been heavily linked with a move to San Siro just 12 months after leaving Inter for Stamford Bridge in a deal worth €115m.
On Sunday, reports suggested Inter had a breakthrough in the negotiations as a compromise was being made financially despite the Nerazzurri being made aware they would need to pay more than their initial offer of €5m plus bonuses.
And Gianluca Di Marzio among others suggests on Monday that Inter have gone back with an offer of €7m plus bonuses.
Sunday’s reports included that Chelsea were looking for around €10m plus bonuses so it remains to be seen if this bid will be accepted.
Lukaku scored 64 goals in 95 appearances during his first spell with the club and helped them win the Scudetto before leaving for Chelsea.
